Artwork Specifications

• Vector artwork created in programs such as Illustrator or CorelDraw. Please save your files as .eps, .pdf, or .ai files. When working in Illustrator, convert all the text into outlines. In CorelDraw, export/save as a .pdf with all type converted to curves.

• Raster artwork created in a multitude of design programs like Photoshop. Files should be submitted to size and be high resolution (300 dpi)

• ↳ Most images from the web will require recreating. (72 dpi is not Print-Ready) 

PRINT COLORS & Color Matching

• Pantone color matches are available for a $10.00 charge per color, an exact color match is NOT guaranteed. With that said, we are amazing at matching pantones and have an huge rainbow of pre-mixed colors at out disposal. If you require demanding color matches, we recommend that you ask to come by for an on-press print proof. Do to scheduling, if production is delayed, notified charges may occur. Colors may vary from samples, original order and re-orders, please supply a sample to match if concerned. If PMS colors are not supplied, we will extract colors from your supplied artwork. Please refer to the Pantone Coated guide, as they most closely resemble the nature of our inks.

 PLASTISOL, WATER-BASED, SPECIALTY INKS + FOILS 

• Our standard apparel printing is with plastisol inks, the industry standard for great color, opacity and longevity. Unless requested otherwise this is what we be using. We strive to make our prints as thin as possible and add a soft-hand additive to almost all prints. If you would like a very thin vintage print just specify and we are happy to do so. 
• Like our paper printing we also offer Water-based ink printing for apparel. Known for its soft feel, this ink is best on white, natural and light colors if color brightness is a concern. Additional charges may apply.
• We love implementing some specialty inks into your designs. We have METALLIC, SHIMMER, GLOW, PUFF, CLEAR, & REFLECTIVE.
• We also offer FOIL STAMPING, which give your prints a slick, smooth, metallic look.  BLACK, GOLD, SILVER, & COLORS AVAILABLE. Ask us about how to best implement foil into your prints as there are several different methods available for each specific design.

PRINT PLACEMENTS

• Each additional print placement is charged for separately in pricing, unless the multiple placements fit onto the print palette surface (see sizing below) as the garments must be dried and re positioned between each separate placement
• Please avoid printing over or within an inch of any seems as ink coverage and deposits become inconsistent 
• Please view our standard print placements and sizings file 

Sizing Artwork

• Standard sizing for an Adult Full-Front and Full-Back prints are 11" wide.
• Left-Chest prints range from 3" - 4.5" wide. 
• Our standard print capabilities are 13" wide x 14" tall
• Our oversized print capabilities are up to 15.5" wide x 23" tall. Oversize prints are priced differently and have limitations, please inquire.
• If there are discrepancies, or sizing and placements are not supplied we will size and place the art to our standard specifications.

Proofs

• All artwork to be used in the production of your product will be e-mailed to you as a digital mock-up proof. These proofs are your final look at artwork before entering production, and MUST be approved and e-mailed back in a timely manner. Extra time spent on changes to the artwork may result in art charges (see Artwork Charges). Your signed approval is our authorization for processing and is considered FINAL for invoice purposes.

ARTWORK CHARGES

• Our Art Department charges $50/hour with a minimum billing amount of $20.
• If you would like custom art created for your order, we are happy to quote you based on your requests.
• Charges are also applicable (upon notification) if artwork is not submitted to the following guidelines:
• ↳ Low Resolution art that needs recreated to be print-ready. Please save files as 300dpi and Sized-to-Print
• ↳ If type is too small/blurry and re-typesetting or modifications are needed. Fonts will be substituted/matched as close as possible.

SUPPLYING ARTWORK

• EMAIL: Artwork can be sent to info@effluxcreations.com (Please keep files smaller than 20MB and when sending many files use a zipped folder)
• CLOUD: If your files are larger then 20 MB, Please upload to the cloud (DropBox, GoogleDrive) and send us a link. Or contact us for our cloud info.
• ON DISK: We can accept artwork on Flash Drives, SD Memory cards, CD, or DVD. Please refer to the formatting requirements noted above.
• ON PAPER: Artwork must be printed from a high resolution printer. Crisp & clean edges are a must for quality printing. We will contact you if the artwork is not up to standards. If poor quality artwork is submitted and approved, we will not be responsible for illegible prints or choppy edges. If you have a drawing, bring it by our shop and we can let you know what we can do with it, and describe some options for using it in production.

1. How fast can you get my shirts or flatstock order printed?

Our Typical Turnaround time is 7-10 business days from the time of your order.  If you need them sooner, we can make it happen, but there may be a Rush Charge depending on our production schedule.  We’ve delivered 98% of our orders on-time and to happy customers. If you need a quick turnaround, call us now and check on our availability.

2. Can I supply my own shirts?

You can. There are some stipulations though.  We prefer there be more than 50 pieces, or coupled with a larger run of garments that you are ordering through us. Please provide extras of each color and size when available, as we cannot guarantee  100% accuracy. The printing process is messy and mistakes happen. We cannot be responsible for the cost or replacement of provided garments either.  It is almost always easier and more cost effective to have us provide the garments, as we receive great wholesale pricing and pass the savings along to our customers. If you are supplying your own garment surcharges may apply.

3. Can I visit and see samples of apparel & your work?

Hecks yes, come down and check out our digs. Please call ahead though so we can know you are coming and can give you some attention. We’d love to show you around our printshop where you can see the process firsthand. Chances are you’ll have a whole new appreciation and insight into our elaborate labor of love.  Our shop is one-part Gallery, one-part Retail Shirt Boutique, and one-part Custom Print and Art Studio. There is a ton of art on the walls and an extensive variety of shirts, prints, inks, and techniques to stimulate you into making your project as cool as possible.

4. Can I Volunteer/Help out and Learn Screenprinting?

For certain. We can always use some helpful and eager folks around to help out. Depending on your availability, we can usually schedule a time for you to come down and help us with some production in trade for getting to learn about screenprinting. We have some serious know-how and teaching experience we can share with you, a sweet shop to hang out in, and a thirst to spread the love of the artform. Community is important to us, and we enjoy meeting new folks who are eager to learn
